Blog hopping. Some may call it blog stalking/lurking, that's only if you don't leave nice comments or follow! I however bounce from blog to blog like a pinball. I usually start with the notion of checking out a tutorial, but end up getting sidetracked by a link to something that sounds interesting, or maybe just a cute little blinky button catches my eye and I'm like "oh what's that!".
(*begin flashback sequence*)
It started with my sister Michelle, she got me into Scrapbooking. I've always been a creative person, but this kind of creating was new to me. I was hooked. Scrapbooking led to cardmaking.
I always said that I wouldn't make cards when I could just go buy em' at the store. But then my friend Mindy invited me to a Stampin'Up party at her house...hooked! So now I'm making cards with stamps, I'm using stamps in my scrapbooks and my love affair with stamping is sealed with a tap,tap,tap.
Papercrafting...well have you been to a scrapbook store, Hobby Lobby, or a Michaels? Paper hoarder paradise, I mean paper collector paradise. I'm a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper junkie...I have to force myself to use the gorgeous paper I buy. So I decorate and make all sorts of things with it. Which led me to decorating things with paper to give as gifts, which led to decorating in general.
Along comes my beautiful daughter...I go all out decorating her nursery. I see the cute little Taggie blankets and lovies and choke when I see how much they want for them. Hence the phrase that I use so often is born, " I can make that!". I took Sewing I and II in highschool ,sheesh I can make my own Taggie! Next thing ya know I'm sewing ruffles on everything and buying clothing patterns.
So there you have it... the evolution of my crafters a.d.d.
